Counting Sheep to go to Sleep

All snuggled in bed, Kate just couldn’t sleep,

As Mum tucked her in, she said ‘try counting sheep,’

She tossed and she turned, and she let out a sigh,

Then she decided to give it a try.

‘One sheep and two sheep and three sheep and four,’

But she stopped as she heard a thud on the floor,

Then came a bump, a bang, and a crash,

Kate jumped out of bed, quick as a flash.

All huddled together on her bedroom floor,

Was not one sheep,

Not two sheep,

Not three sheep,

But four!
