Emily Ford is an Editorial Director in Picture Books at Macmillan Children’s Books and has over 20 years’ experience in children’s publishing. She commissions and develops bestselling picture books for ages 0–7, working with both established creators and exciting new talent.
During her career she has worked with many leading picture book authors and illustrators, including Jill Murphy, Sara Ogilvie, Axel Scheffler, Briony May Smith, Jan Pienkowski, Rebecca Cobb, Marta Atlés and Catherine Rayner. With her keen creative eye, strong commercial instinct and understanding of what appeals to young readers, she has helped shape many successful and much-loved picture books.
